Talent Acquisition Specialist – The Wests Group Australia

About the Position
Reporting to the Talent & Capability Manager, this position plays a key role in delivering exceptional recruitment outcomes across The Wests Group’s diverse portfolio of hospitality, entertainment, fitness and sporting venues - including our iconic Newcastle Knights.
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end recruitment across both high-volume frontline hiring and specialist corporate roles. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, designing strategic sourcing campaigns, elevating candidate experience, and ensuring our employer brand is represented with pride.
What You'll Be Doing:

Managing the recruitment lifecycle from briefing to offer across a variety of departments including hospitality, operations, corporate and leadership roles.

Supporting and executing high-volume seasonal hiring campaigns to meet workforce demands across clubs, fitness and events.

Building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to understand workforce needs and provide strategic hiring advice.

Proactively sourcing talent through social platforms, job boards, industry networks and local partnerships.

Maintaining and optimising our RMS processes to ensure a seamless and inclusive candidate experience.

Assisting with employer branding activities and cross-team projects - including community engagement initiatives, continuous improvement & DEI initiatives.

Creating recruitment reports, data insights and pipeline metrics to support workforce planning.
About You
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in recruitment — internal, agency or RPO.

Proven success managing a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment portfolio.

Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.

A proactive, solutions-driven mindset - you enjoy finding great people and getting things done.

Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and recruitment reporting tools (Cornerstone experience desirable but not essential).

Excellent communication skills with the ability to represent The Wests Group brand with professionalism and warmth.
