As the Mid-Western Region continues to grow and prosper at a steady rate, Council now employs over 500 staff members and has exciting opportunities for full-time Roads Labourers (based in Mudgee and based in Rylstone) to carry out physical labouring activities for road
maintenance and construction works and other Mid-Western Regional Council related
infrastructure projects as defined in the Strategic and Management Plans.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • One years’ experience in construction
    labouring
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Competent skills in undertaking manual tasks
    associated with road maintenance and construction work
  • Competent skills in operating a wide range of small
    plant and equipment/hand tools
  • Basic interpersonal skills and ability to work in a
    team
  • Basic communications skills (oral and written)
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety
    responsibilities and a commitment to attending relevant WHS training
  • Ability to carry out instructions

We offer a salary range of $2020 - $2268 gross per fortnight (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience) plus superannuation and allowances, and long service leave after 5 years.
