Kurri Kurri District Hospital is a valued part of the Hunter New England Local Health District, providing essential inpatient and outpatient services to the local community. The Medical Unit focuses on acute medical management and delivers patient-centred care through strong multidisciplinary collaboration. About the Role

In this role, you will provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care within the Medical Unit, working collaboratively with patients, families and carers to achieve identified care goals and outcomes. Your day-to-day work will involve delivering high-quality clinical care while contributing to effective teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.

You will be supported in your role by the Nursing Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Educator, who provide guidance, mentorship and leadership. Orientation and ongoing support are tailored to your experience level, ensuring you feel confident and supported as you settle into the unit and continue to develop your clinical practice.

About You

You are a committed and compassionate clinician who values teamwork and patient-centred care. You bring strong organisational and communication skills and are able to work effectively in a dynamic clinical environment.

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Effective time management and the ability to prioritise and complete tasks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Leadership capability or potential
  • A collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary teams
