About the role

Somerset Fire Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Passive Fire Technicians, Carpenters, Linings Supervisor, Linings Installers, Plasterboard Setters to join our team across NSW. Other roles for fire technicians, electrical, hydraulic and HVAC may be considered. Previous applicants may apply. This is a full-time role where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of buildings across the region.

What you'll be doing

This is a full-time on-site role at our large and diverse client base for a Passive Fire Technician at Somerset Fire in Newcastle or Sydney NSW. As a Passive Fire Technician, you will be responsible for conducting fire safety inspections, installing fire protection systems, and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations.

This role requires working across NSW and the ACT. Majority of work in Newcastle, Central Coast and Sydney.

Those with experience in building construction such as carpentry and other relevant trade based roles welcome to apply without the following qualifications and you will be trained in all required.

What we're looking for

• Experience in passive fire protection systems installation and maintenance

• Knowledge of fire safety regulations and codes

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Relevant certifications in fire protection or related fields

• Must be approved to work in Australia and hold a current white card for works in NSW

• Linings supervisor must be English Speaking and experience in commercial installations

• Passive Technicians must hold trade or similar qualifications and experience in commercial installations

• $35-$50 depending on qualifications fulltime
