What we are looking for
As part of this team you will have strong customer service and administration skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment. Be an effective communicator with both colleagues and the public.
Public sector experience preferred, but not essential.
This role is casual - availability to work Monday to Friday during business hours and work shifts (at times) at short notice. You will be required to work across different locations in the LGA - Mudgee, Gulgong and Rylstone.skills, qualifications and experience).
The salary range being offered for this casual position is $45.16- $50.84 gross per hour plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience).
Key Accountabilities
- To
provide a high level of customer service to the community either in person over
the counter or via the Council’s call centre. - Ensuring
the accurate receipt of monies received by the Council. - Conducting
reconciliation and banking of customer service monetary receipts. - Ensuring
the accurate and timely processing of applications and customer requests. - Maintenance
of the appropriate records in the Council’s Records Management System. - Providing
accurate advice and carrying out the appropriate administrative process for a
broad spectrum of customer enquiries, including those related to rates,
certificates, works requests and companion animals, in accordance with the Council’s
policies and procedures. - Providing
accurate advice and carrying out the appropriate administrative process for
customer enquiries, including those related to development, cemeteries and
plaques, in accordance with the Council’s established policies and procedures. - Providing
administrative assistance to other Council departments where customer service
work capacity allows, in accordance with each department's established
procedures. - Provide
support to the CS Coordinator to deliver services in a timely and professional manner,
including project work. - To
provide onboarding ‘buddy’ training to new staff when necessary and to support
the cross-training of other Council staff on CS processes and systems when
needed. - To
be available, willing and able to undertake and participate in relevant
customer service training to both increase capacity and knowledge of other
departments. - To
provide library services to the community at the Rylstone and Gulgong service
centres. - To
reference, communicate and provide feedback on the Council’s knowledge
management system, checkmate. - Demonstration
of the core values and behavioural requirements of the Workplace Environment
Statement. - To
undertake any other duties as reasonably directed by the CS Coordinator or
Manager CS & Gov that align with the position's core functions and
capacity.
