Your Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Trial and Data Management Officer to join our Quality, Risk and Patient Experience team.

The Clinical Trial and Data Management Officer is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operations involved in the implementation of approved clinical trials at St John of God Bunbury Hospital.

The role is offered on a permanent part time basis, working 7.6 hours per week.

The Position:

Perform all aspects of Clinical Trial Conduct including assessment of patient eligibility for proposed clinical trial, ensuring that all patient and internal protocols are followed. Ensure that all preparations required for the commencement of the clinical trial are complete and compliant with the relevant guidelines. Liaise with other relevant health professionals involved in the treatment/care of the client (in-patient and community settings) to ensure the transfer of all information necessary to ensure continuity of care and safe practice in accordance with the trial protocol. Coordinate monitoring visits and ensure all aspects of trial treatment, information, collection of specimens, and recording of data are managed according to the relevant guidelines. Represent the clinical trial scheme at local and national investigator meetings as requested. Ensure the use of relevant clinical guidelines in the delivery of patient care. Ensure standards of clinical care documentation are maintained. Ensure high quality care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care relevant to the trial. Provide educative information for clients and families related to the clients’ disease, the trial protocol and associated treatments and monitoring progress whilst evaluating treatment programs.

To thrive, you'll hold a relevant degree or equivalent in health or a health-related field and possess current certification in Good Clinical Practice and knowledge of clinical and regulatory frameworks relevant to clinical research. You will have the ability to efficiently carry out procedures to ensure work is as accurate as possible, prioritising and multitasking to achieve desired results.

We can offer you

Salary: $88,982 to $105,187 per annum (pro-rata for part-time), plus 12% superannuationPermanent Part-Time position, working 7.6 hours a week.
