About the role

This is a varied position involving both mail and parcel delivery by motorbike and customer service/retail work inside the post office.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver letters, parcels and mail safely and efficiently by motorbike

• Sort and organise mail for delivery

• Provide friendly and professional customer service

• Serve customers at the post-office counter

• Process postage, parcels, payments and other postal services

• Assist with retail sales and stock

• Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming workplace

• Follow all road, workplace and postal safety requirements

About you

• Reliable, punctual and responsible

• Friendly and confident when dealing with customers

• Comfortable riding a motorbike/scooter

• A safe and careful rider with a valid motorcycle licence

• Physically capable of handling mail and parcels

• Well organised and able to work independently

• Comfortable using computers and handling basic transactions

• Available to work flexible part-time hours

• Previous postal, delivery, retail or customer-service experience is an advantage, but training will be provided for the right person
