Applications are invited for the position of Ashford Workshop Supervisor, based at Council's Ashford Workshop.  The successful applicant shall be responsible for the satisfactory implementation of workshop and plant maintenance and repair programs, and other programs undertaken by the Fleet and Workshop Section, as well as the supervision and control of the Ashford Plant Workshop.

Essential Criteria:

Qualifications

• Trade Certificate as a Motor Mechanic, Plant Fitter or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an approved course for supervisors, or suitable experience supervising staff.
• NSW Class HC Drivers Licence or equivalent.
• SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card ('White Card').

Desirable Criteria: 

Qualifications

• Licence to perform High Risk Work for Dogging, Gantry Crane Operation and Forklift (DG, CB, LF).
• Air Conditioning Repairer Licence for Vehicle/Plant.

 

 

Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.  The classification for the position will be up to Administrative/Technical/Trades Band 2, Level 2, Grade 12.  Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,349.59 to $1,453.48 gross per week.
