About the role
This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, at the Nowra Administration Building. Working closely with the Workplace Learning Business Partner, this role supports the implementation, management and delivery of Council's Staff Development Program, Learning Management System (LMS) and Corporate Training. The role oversees administrative requirements for Councils Entry Level Career Pathway Program.

The role allows you to unleash your creativity to design, develop and deliver engaging corporate training solutions both online using Articulate 360 and face to face across Council. You will also require a solid understanding of how to navigate a highly configurable Learning Management System.

Duties
Reporting directly to the Workplace Learning Business Partner, the focus of this position is to:

  • Facilitate face-to-face, online and blended learning events including back end set up, monitoring logistics, training records and post course follow up
  • Facilitate implementation of Council's corporate learning and development initiatives, programs, systems and procedures
  • Coordinate the administration and ongoing maintenance of Council's Learning Management System
  • Liaise with subject matter experts to support course development and distribution
  • Liaise with external training providers to implement training solutions for Council
  • Manage Council's trainee and apprentice programs and maintain a positive relationship with the Group Training Organisation
  • Coordinate selection and onboarding of work experience and work placements within Council

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will possess:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or Certificate IV in Business/Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience designing, developing and evaluating corporate training and learning and development programs
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate with staff effectively across all organisational levels and role
  • Demonstrated experience using learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Demonstrated experience in business document preparation and high level of computer literacy
