About the role

As a Water and Wastewater Attendant, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, minor construction work, and inspection of water and sewerage infrastructure. You will work closely with a range of staff across the City to achieve the adopted levels of service and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate safe workplace practices and behaviours, take reasonable care for your own health and safety, and the health and safety of others in the workplace. You should also be customer-centric, promote a positive and professional image of the City, and continuously look for ways to improve the level of customer service you deliver.

About you?

  • Demonstrated experience in the construction, operation, and/or maintenance of water infrastructure, wastewater infrastructure, and/or other relevant infrastructure
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and keyboard skills and the ability to effectively use mobile computing devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptop PCs
  • Relevant licences and qualifications as outlined in the Position Description.

What's on offer?

  • Starting salary from $56,306.48 + superannuation
  • Permanent Full Time 38 hours per week
  • Rostered flex-time.
  • Generous leave entitlements - long service leave after 5 years.
  • Scope for performance-based salary increases.
