The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a hardworking and qualified individual to operate, maintain and construct water and sewerage infrastructure to recognised health, environmental and BVSC standards. 

As a Water and Sewer Team Member, you will operate, monitor and maintain all facets of the area’s water and sewerage infrastructure as well as participate in the construction of new water supply and sewerage infrastructure. You will also identify and use contemporary technology and equipment.

About You

We are seeking individuals who hold a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (NWP30215) or equivalent trade-based qualification and have a current NSW Class C Drivers Licence 

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Demonstrated and complete understanding of water supply and sewerage system operation, maintenance and construction practices.
  • Developed skills in the laying of water and sewer mains and associated construction activities.
  • Developed fault-finding skill techniques as appropriate to water supply and sewerage systems.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.

Benefits

This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week, based in Bermagui. 

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $71,878.56 gross per annum, comprising of:

  • $1,245.30 per week base salary
  • $136.98 per week superannuation (calculated at 11%)
  • Rostered day off scheme (nine day fortnight)
  • Annual Award salary increases and performance reviews
  • Salary packaging program (SmartSalary) 
  • Wellbeing Initiatives – Employee Assistance Program, LifeWorks App, social club, health monitoring and annual flu vaccinations.
