About the role

This position is a full-time role in the Water and Sewer team, based at the Moruya Administration Office. The successful candidate will provide technical support, assistance and advice to ensure the provision of quality water and sewer services and will coordinate the duties of the Water and Sewer Technical Officer team.

Your main duties will include:

  • Provide administrative and technical support in relation to water and sewer operations, maintenance and construction.
  • Assess water and sewer referrals, provide technical advice for development applications and recommend appropriate conditions for consents.
  • Liaise with and advise builders, developers, architects, engineers, designers and the community regarding Council’s requirements on water and sewer policies, standards and practices.

Salary information

Total remuneration for the role is in the range of $91,853.58 to $112,293.96 gross per annum comprising:

  • $82,379.89 to $100,712.07 base salary
  • $9,473.69 to $11,581.89 superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)

A fully maintained Council vehicle (for to/from home use) is also available with this role!

An offer of employment for this position is subject to medical clearance to verify that you are safely able to undertake the duties of the position.

About you

Are you keen to put your qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering to use? Our ideal candidate will be a team player with a keen attitude and a working knowledge of water and sewer industry standards. A successful application will further demonstrate:

  • Experience in water supply and sewerage systems investigation and design.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound computer skills.
