Moree Plains Shire Council are seeking a Wastewater Operator to join the Water Services Team.

  • Permanent full time – 38 hours per week
  • Location- Moree
  • Attractive Salary range from $54,704 - $62,748 depending on qualifications and experience (PLUS superannuation)

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Wastewater Operator will be required to maintain and carry out operations to the sewerage treatment plants, pumping stations, rising mains and reticulation systems for the Moree Plains Shire Council Infrastructure, Water Services Team.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.

ABOUT YOU

Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications: 

  • Certificate III Water (Wastewater) Industry Operations  (Applicants, who do not hold the Certificate may be considered in some instances, however, must commit to commencing the qualification during Council's 3-month probationary period).
  • Ability to work after hours when directed by the Wastewater Services Coordinator and approved by the Director Infrastructure.
  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to carry out mathematical calculations for sewerage records.
  • General Construction and Induction card.
  • Current NSW Class MR Driver Licence (Manual)
