About the Opportunity

Council’s Waste Services team is currently seeking 2 Waste Depot Attendants to operate the Kew waste transfer station and to support other areas of Council’s Waste operations. Occasionally you might be required to work at other council waste facilities. As the Waste Depot Attendant, you shall process waste loads, undertake maintenance and upkeep of the waste facility and grounds, and provide exceptional customer service to our Community.

The successful candidate will be employed on a rotating roster, 6 days on 4 days off including working weekends.

To be successful in this role you shall require strong interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of work health and safety and sound computer skills.

Remuneration and Benefits

There are two positions on offer:

- Part time (33.6 hours per week), permanent role, with remuneration starting at approx. $953 per week + weekend and public holiday penalty + adverse working conditions allowance + superannuation.

- Part time (21 hours per week), permanent role, with remuneration starting at approx. $596 per week + weekend and public holiday penalty + adverse working conditions allowance + superannuation.
