The Package: $87,820.20 - $97,041.36 gross per annum + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 13 of the QPRC Salary System 2023) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Fulltime– 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may apply.

In this role you will:

  • Play a critical role in ensuring that Council can operate our water, recycled water, sewer and stormwater networks in a safe, cost-effective and efficient way
  • Collect data related to water, recycled water, sewer and stormwater networks from a variety of sources and formats and convert the data to spatial information
  • Develop, operate, update, distribute and report on spatial models for Council water, sewer and stormwater networks.
  • Work closely with operational teams to develop and maintain field access to critical information

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant qualifications, or demonstrated experience, in Geographical Information Systems, Mapping Systems or Spatial Networks.
  • Experience converting spatial data to ensure interoperability between spatial platforms (CAD, ESRI)
  • Experience in the automation or processes, visualisation and presentation of spatial information (cartography and web mapping applications)
  • The ability to communicate technical information in ‘plain English’, in both written and oral form.
