The Package: $97,745.96 - $108,009.72 gross per annum + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance + 11% super. (Evaluated as Grade 15 of the QPRC Salary System 2023) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Fulltime– 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may apply. The position will have access to a leaseback vehicle in accordance with Council policies.

Are you an experienced Engineer looking to apply your skills in a rapidly growing regional community? Council is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our Infrastructure team.

In this role you will:

  • Work on a wide range of water, recycled water, sewer and stormwater projects, including the delivery of approximately $300m in major projects in the next few years.
  • Assist teams in the operation, maintenance and upgrade/renewal of water/sewage treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs, dams and stormwater networks.
  • Investigate issues, determine cost-effective and robust solutions, and then plan, design, procure, deliver and commission the solution.
  • Respond to enquiries from customers and prepare reports and/or other correspondence related to the position for a range of stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering field and significant relevant experience.
  • Understands the State Environmental Planning Policy (Transport and Infrastructure) and the Local Government Act, and their application to water and sewer.
  • Demonstrates experience in the development and assessment of tender documents and project delivery.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate technical information in ‘plain English’, in both written and oral form, to internal and external customers.
