We are seeking to employ an undergraduate (or recent graduate) accountant to join our North Hobart based practice. The firm has been established for well over 25 years and is largely based around referred clients. There are six experienced staff and two directors providing an integrated range of services based around business accounting and tax consulting, often in specialised areas.

The successful applicant would gain knowledge and experience in the areas of superannuation and taxation.

Applicants must have completed at least one year accounting studies.

Australian permanent residency is required for this position.

It is envisaged that the successful applicant would be engaged either on a casual or a permanent part-time basis with a view upon completion of their studies to become a full-time employee of the practice. If you are a recent graduate then the position could be offered on a full-time basis. The position would suit someone looking for a career in public practice and our office supports obtaining either a CPA or CA qualification.

As a guide it is expected that the person would be available for at least 20 hours per week part-time. The position would have flexibility with respect to examination times and additional work available during holiday periods if applicable.
