Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Truck Driver - Articulated to join our Infrastructure team!

  • Permanent full time - 38 hours per week
  • Rostered day off every fortnight - an extra 22 days off a year!
  • Weekly pay cycle
  • Salary range $1057.52 - $1266.64 per week 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful applicant will be responsible for operating and maintaining Council's trucks as directed.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.

ABOUT YOU

Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:

  • Possession of WHS Construction (white) Card
  • Class HC (Heavy Combination) License
  • At least two years truck driving experience
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to WHS
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to manage time and priorities to complete work
  • Ability to carry out daily maintenance and servicing of assigned plant
  • Ability to ensure documentation (eg records, time sheets, plant sheets, incident reports) is completed and accurate
  • Loader certification
  • Bitumen patching experience
  • Gravel resheeting experience
  • Sign selection and positioning ability
  • Previous experience floating plant
