The Role

We are seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to assist with the coordination of our bituminous product deliveries located in Kwinana Beach.

Reporting to the Logistics & Supply Manager, the successful applicant will have experience in coordinating driver schedules, liaising with suppliers and customers to maximise efficiency and effective utilisation of resources, whilst maintaining a high focus on safety and compliance.

Duties & responsibilities

• Effective and efficient planning and coordination of all bituminous product deliveries.

• Building effective relationships with drivers, stakeholders and other team members that promote trust and encourage effective performance.

• Managing a fleet with a focus on best practice safety and compliance.

• Allocate and assign driver runs using our internal database to meet business requirements.

• Communicate with drivers, internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and pick-ups.

• Provide reporting to managers on resource availability and requirements.

• Investigate and report on any safety and compliance incidents and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented to monitor or resolve issues.

• Providing support to the administrative team to ensure all relevant paperwork compliance.

• Continually striving to improve systems and processes in liaison with relevant stakeholders.

•  Ad-hoc duties that arise.

To be considered for this role you must have:

• Proven experience coordinating and scheduling fleet with a thorough understanding of fleet allocation, scheduling and coordination.

• Sound computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

• Working knowledge of CoR, WAHVA/NHVR, Speed Compliance, Load Restraint & Dangerous Goods.

• Driver fatigue, mass and maintenance management knowledge.

• Able to allocate deliveries / pickups in the most efficient and cost-effective way.

• Ability to deal effectively with conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent organisational & time management skills with the ability to multi task and adapt to change quickly.

• Strong team player attitude.

• Be flexible to work different hours, overtime and during weekends as required.
