Do you have a background in building construction? Or are you a High School Leaver, Swimming Pool Inspector, Compliance Officer wanting a change or to progress your career? In this role you will have the following accountabilities:

Reporting to the Coordinator Building Services in a small and vibrant team, some of your core functions include:

• Assess all types of building applications within statutory timeframes and ensure compliance with the Building Act, Building Regulations, National Construction Code (and referenced Standards), Local Laws, Polices and other relevant Legislations.
• Provide excellent customer service in the form of friendly and accurate building advice to both internal and external customers.
• Under guidance, conduct site inspections, including swimming pool safety barrier inspections.

Our preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and skillset:

• Experience with state Building legislation, National of Construction Codes, Standards, and other relevant requirements.
• Experience and knowledge of Planning and Residential Design Codes.
• Excellent conflict resolution skills, and an ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• The ability to work in a small but vibrant team environment.
• Experience in the use multiple software platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A commitment to providing high level of internal and external customer service.
• The desire to progress and undertake study to achieve Building Surveyor Practitioner Registration.
