Traffic Control - Team Leader & Crew Members

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated individuals to oversee our traffic management operations and ensure smooth, safe practices for our workers and travellers using public roads and related infrastructure.
Opportunities include a Team Leader Traffic Control and 2x Traffic Control /Civil Crew Members.
Team Leader Traffic Control - to lead and supervise the traffic control crews on site. A temporary full time position for 12 months.
Our ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communications skills to provide guidance and support to team members, make quick decisions under pressure and have a strong commitment to safety.
To be successful, you will have;
- A current SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Training Cards for Traffic Controller, Implement Traffic Control Plans and Prepare a work zone traffic management plan
- Extensive experience in traffic control or management and implement traffic management plans and protocols with the ability monitor and adjust traffic flow to enhance safety
- Experience in a civil construction and maintenance field with competencies in using small plant and hand tools
- General Induction for Construction Work Certificate (white card)
- Current Drivers Licence (Class C, LR or ability to obtain)
- Working Under Overhead Powerlines accreditation (or ability to obtain)
- Certificate III in Civil Construction (or willing to undertake)
In addition to the traffic control tasks, you will have the opportunity to support the civil works across our construction, maintenance and precinct presentation teams within our local government area and can include concreting, drainage, pavements, street furniture and presentation of our city's infrastructure.
Traffic Control Crew Members - to support the traffic control management and undertake general civil labouring duties across our city. Two temporary full time positions for 12 months.
To be successful, you will be a motivated team player and have experience in undertaking traffic management duties and civil construction.
In addition to traffic control management, you will be required to carry out general labouring duties in the areas of civil construction, maintenance and precinct presentation. Duties include concreting, repair and patching potholes, signage and street furniture maintenance, stormwater drainage and general maintenance on Council's assets.
You will require;

- Full time, 38 hours per week with the opportunity to work a 9 day fortnight
- Temporary positions for a period of 12 months
- Commencing salary range for Team Leader from $1,269 - $1,346 per week (dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
- Commencing salary range for Crew Member from $1,084- $1,150 per week (dependent on skills and experience)
- Plus Adverse Working Condition Allowance
