About the Role
We are seeking Trades Assistants at our Olympic Dam site to provide support to other trades and workgroups in our site crew . We have multiple opportunities available for casual employment on a 13:8 roster. Ahrens provides opportunities for on-the-job training that can help you develop into skilled labour positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Read drawings, work orders and instructions to support trades in completing tasks;
- Assist in the preparation, movement and setup of materials and equipment;
- Use hand and power tools safely and competently to support tradespersons;
- Measure, cut and prepare raw materials for use by tradespersons;
- Assist with general site works and other duties as directed;
Assist with site logistics including movement of materials and equipment.
Skills and Experience
- Driver’s Licence;
- Forklift Licence (desirable);
- Construction industry white card;
- Flexible approach and cooperative team attitude;
- Willingness to undertake on-the-job training;
‘Can do’ attitude and eagerness to support trades.
