ABOUT THE ROLE

Council is seeking a Town Planner to join the Planning and Regulation Team. Reporting to the Manager Planning and Regulation you will have opportunities to work on a range of projects. You will be responsible for processing the Development Applications, Section 4.55 and Section 8.2 Applications, including major/significant applications, in accordance with statutory requirements and Council’s codes and policies. 

To be successful in this role, you will

  • Be a team player, who continually looks for positive ways to contribute to team culture.
  • Have qualifications in Town Planning and have previous industry experience.
  • Have well developed written and oral communication skills.

The Liverpool Plains Shire Council is a diverse organisation employing over 120 staff across a wide variety of fields who deliver a range of services to the local government area encompassing Blackville, Caroona, Currabubula, Pine Ridge, Premer, Quirindi, Spring Ridge, Wallabadah, Werris Creek and Willow Tree and the almost 8000 residents who reside there.

We offer a competitive salary package for the successful candidate. The position is classified as Grade 6 in our salary system with a salary range of $92,785 - $114,851 per annum (plus superannuation) depending on qualifications and experience.
