About the role
This is a permanent, full time position working 35 hours per week at our Nowra Administration Building, Bridge Road, Nowra. This position works within our City Performance Directorate to support the users of Councils information systems and assists in optimising staff productivity through.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

Duties
Reporting directly to the IT Service Delivery Coordinator, the focus of this position is to:

  • Provide IT support to Council staff through face-to-face, telephone and remote management
  • Contribute to the configuration, functionality and improvement of the Support Desk Tools
  • Administer Council's corporate computer system to satisfy user requirements
  • Install, support and administer computer hardware, operating systems, networking and major application packages
  • Assist in maintaining Council's LAN & WAN environments
  • Provide basic training to users on PC based applications and hardware

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will possess:

  • Diploma level qualifications in an Information Systems related discipline and relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience deploying computers, creating packages and deploying software, change management and managing users and equipment in a large and complex networked environment
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (Visa)
