As Technical Officer – Business Support in Council’s Water and Wastewater Unit, you’ll be key to documenting our processes, making our services more efficient, and ensuring we’re always improving.

This is an excellent opportunity to support Council’s digital transformation and expand your knowledge, skills and experience in Council’s Business Systems.

About the role:

  • Collaborate with Water and Wastewater staff to identify and implement process improvements
  • Map end to end business processes and document procedures and processes
  • Support the maintenance of key property and information management systems
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop and maintain content for the Water and Wastewater Knowledge Base in SharePoint.

We are seeking:

  • Experience in supporting end users in the use of Council business systems

Where it's located:

This position is based in Tweed Heads and can be directed to work from any Council work site.

1. Relevant Diploma level qualifications in Business Improvement/Administration or Information Technology and Business Analysis and/or relevant experience.

2. Describe a time where you have identified a business improvement and implemented a new workflow and procedure to improve productivity and efficiency.

3. Provide examples of procedures and manuals that you have developed.

4. Describe your experience in developing content for knowledge management systems and/or SharePoint.

5. Describe your experience in applying project management principles to effectively plan, implement and review small improvement projects.
