About the role

The Team Leader Payroll plays a crucial role in overseeing all payroll operations for The City. This role is responsible for providing expert guidance and leadership to ensure that payroll processes are carried out accurately and efficiently. This includes processing wages, salaries, and external lodgements, as well as generating reports.

The position involves leading the payroll team to deliver exceptional customer service and striving for continuous improvements in payroll administration and systems.

The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of modern payroll practices and have experience in handling high-volume payroll processing, including end-of-month and end-of-financial-year procedures. We are looking for an individual who is passionate, innovative, and dedicated to fostering collaboration within the team and across the organisation to ensure the smooth and effective execution of all payroll functions.

  • Salary of $90,856.39 per annum + superannuation

What are the essentials?

  • Tertiary Qualification- in Finance and/or payroll
  • Solid Contemporary experience leading a payroll team.
  • Experience and working knowledge of Technology One software suite. (Desirable)
  • Local Government experience (Desirable)
