About the Opportunity
Lead and supervise road maintenance and construction projects, coordinate resources and ensure quality outcomes while serving as a key liaison between Council and the Community, delivering impactful infrastructure solutions.

 

What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

  • Diploma or Cert IV in civil engineering, construction operations, surveying, project or construction management.
  • Current HR Drivers Licence.
  • Significant relevant experience in supervision of work teams in road construction and maintenance activities.
  • Significant relevant experience in the operation of road construction and maintenance equipment.
  • Significant relevant experience in the procurement, quoting and tendering of materials and plant.
  • A knowledge of cost estimation for maintenance activities and preparation of work programs.
  • Knowledge and experience in temporary traffic control signage in accordance with the Australian Standard AS1742 Part 3 – 2019.
  • Experience conducting construction surveying.
  • Hold a current Construction Induction Card accredited by Work Safe Victoria
  • Ability to provide a satisfactory National Police Check prior to employment.


Salary and conditions

The position is classified within Band 6 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $95,818.15 to $104,126.71 per annum including maintenance allowance plus statutory superannuation.
