About the Role

As our Team Leader - Maitland Resource Recovery Facility (MRRF), you will play an integral role in ensuring the community receive timely and professional service when visiting the MRRF by overseeing its day-to-day operations. This is an exciting time to join the team with major upgrades underway to transform the site to a resource recovery facility.

This role will see you implement procedures and agreed actions to ensure full WH&S, licensing and environmental compliance to protect the health and safety of customers, staff and visitors. Specifically, your will be responsible for ensuring compliance in relation to dust, litter, daily cover and leachate management.

Additionally, you will also be responsible for implementing actions that optimise the diversion of materials from landfill and minimise the contamination of recyclables. You will also oversee the appropriate supervision of unloading areas to assist customers and to maximise safety.

Working in a leadership capacity, the Team Leader - MRRF will drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and will thrive on the opportunity to mentor, coach, and develop staff including in relation to compliance regulation and safety standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will hold a Certificate III in Waste Management or equivalent demonstrated experience and/or education/training in waste management. You will have demonstrated experience in assisting, leading and coaching staff in their day-to-day activities. You will have expert knowledge in WH&S and your excellent communication skills and ability to problem solve will see you succeed in this role.

Benefits

This is a part time, permanent role working 35 hours per week, working a fortnightly roster system including every second weekend, with a base salary ranging from $75,227.36 up to $83,502.64 pro rata per year based on demonstrated competencies + allowances + 11.5% superannuation.
