About the role

This position is a permanent, full-time role in the Community Care team and based at the Guy Street Villas in Batemans Bay.

Your main duties will include:

  • Facilitating individual lifestyle activities in support of disabled persons living their life as they choose, in line with developing positive behaviour support plans and individualised strategies.
  • Leading the team in providing support services to people with disability along with with general supervisory duties and responsibilities.
  • Rostering and ensuring appropriate access and availability of staff in line with service needs and capacities.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships and rapport with community residents and ensuring record-keeping, and general practices, are accurate and aligned with industry standards.

Salary Information

Total remuneration for the role is in the range of $88,488.15 to $96,667.73 gross per annum comprising:

  • $79,361.57 to $86,697.52 base salary
  • $9,126.58 to $9,970.21 superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)

Appointment to this position is subject to the following:

  • A satisfactory outcome as a result of a National Criminal History Record Check.
  • Medical clearance to verify that you are safely able to undertake the duties of the position.
  • A verified clearance as a result of a NDIS Screening Check.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be an engaged, people person with extensive experience in support services and management of a team. If you are confident to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously, maintain effective relationships with clients and their families as well as deliver quality services on budget and to industry standard, we want to hear from YOU! You will have positive, can-do attitude and demonstrate the following:

  • Strong understanding of person-centered support, promotion of dignity and informed choice for individuals with disability.
  • Experience working within the NDIS terms of business, including monitoring support/funding, liaising with Plan Managers and Support Coordinators, families and guardians.
  • Knowledge of risk management in a residential setting and ensuring the provision of a safe physical environment.
