Supervisor Workshop

Expressions of Interest are invited for the position of Supervisor Workshop, based at Council's Inverell Workshop.  The successful applicant shall be responsible for the satisfactory day to day running of Council’s Inverell Workshop and to assist with the development & implementation of plant maintenance and repair programs to ensure the efficient operation of Council’s fleet.

Essential Criteria:

Qualifications

  • NSW School Certificate/Record of School Achievement or equivalent;
  • Trade Certificate as Motor Mechanic, Plant Fitter or Metal Fabricator;
  • Successful completion of an approved course for supervisors;
  • NSW Class HR Drivers Licence;
  • Current Automotive Air Conditioning Repairer Qualification;
  • RMS, AIS Approved Examiner Certificate (Heavy and Light vehicles) and willingness to become Council’s AIS Nominee;
  • SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card (‘White Card’).

Desirable Criteria: 

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications and a proven track record of leadership and supervision.

Experience

• Experience in Fleet Management.
• Experience in Fleet Procurement.
• Three (3) years post trade experience in a similar role.

Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.  The classification for the position will be up to Administrative/Technical/Trades Band 2, Level 2, Grade 12.  Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,396.82 to $1,504.35 gross per week.
