We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Services and Operations team as Supervisor Roads in a Temporary Full-Time, Fixed Term capacity.

This position is based at the Gellibrand depot.

As Supervisor Roads you will:

  • Respond to customer service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Comply with approved works programs in line with budget responsibilities.
  • Provide a safe work environment for all team members.
  • Provide clear direction for team members and coordinate the daily tasks across the nominated work sites including all resources, advising plant, materials and personnel requirements to minimise delays and maximise organisational and customer efficiency. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Team Leader in liaising with the public in resolution of customer requests through either programming or completion of works.
  • Being responsible for nominated works crews accurate completion of timesheets and plant log sheets.
  • Being able to identify, assess and control all OH&S hazards.
  • Assist Team Leaders in investigation and implementation of new technologies and work practices to enhance service delivery and reduce costs.

 

 About You:

To support your success in this role you will have:

  • Experience in the supervision of Civil Engineering projects including road construction and maintenance.
  • Experience in setting priorities, planning workloads, and meeting deadlines within allocated resources available.
  • Ability to adapt to increased responsibility and respond positively to changing work practices.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team to achieve set targets and goals within budget constraints.
  • Demonstrated experience in Project management – ensuring accurate record keeping and monitoring of budgets.
  • Ability to effectively lead, motivate and support work teams.
  • Current manual drivers licence and white card are essential.
  • Prefer truck licence and/or required machinery tickets such as grader, roller, loader, excavator and skid steer and chainsaw competency ticket.

Salary information: $36.53 to $41.49 per hour including industry allowance plus superannuation.
