We are seeking a professional Statutory Planner with a passion for our blended urban/rural environment.

As a Planning Officer, you will be responsible for working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to assist with the assessment of development applications and be able to provide advice to Council.

Some of your core functions include:

• Assessment of planning applications in an efficient manner within statutory timeframes for signing by Manager Statutory Planning and Compliance.
• Provide a weekly report on the status of all development applications.
• Represent Council at the State Administrative Tribunal.
• Prepare reports to Council on planning matters.

Our preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and skillset:

• Positive attitude and strong team focus.
• Experience in assessing development applications.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Clear concise report writing abilities.
