How you’ll make a difference   

You will use your diverse administration skills to assist our teams with a variety of administration tasks. You will be required to always promote the Alpine Shire as a customer-focused organisation. You will need to be passionate and multi-skilled and be able to consistently deliver operational services in a timely, friendly and organised manner.

As part of our team you will be responsible for:

  • Providing front line customer service in the provision of counter queries and responding to telephone and electronic customer enquiries
  • Administering planning applications and delivery software to provide a smooth and efficient customer experience for community and officers alike.
  • Work with the Statutory Planning Team to implement new technology and equipment to improve the efficiency and productivity of the planning and subdivision service.

With your excellent administration and communication skills, you will be able to work with your colleagues and our community to ensure positive outcomes. You can multi-task, prioritise, meet deadlines and use the Microsoft suite and to get your job done well.

Your professionalism will enhance Council’s reputation as a responsive and efficient organisation.

You will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in working in the planning area and or local government (desirable).
  • Experience in the use of computer-based systems and records management system.
  • Developing analytical, interpretative, and problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, including stakeholder engagement and foundation conflict resolution skills.
