About the Role

As the Sport Services Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless delivery of sports and recreation services to our community. You will lead a team as the primary point of contact for sports clubs, surf clubs, schools, and other recreational organisations, ensuring exceptional customer service and personalised experiences. Operating within our Sport & Recreation Division, you will contribute to achieving our organisational objectives outlined in our Corporate and Business Plans.

This is a permanent full-time position, salary from $103,511.61 per annum inclusive of superannuation. An operational Motor Vehicle under lease back arrangement for private use is allocated to this position. Salary package will be negotiated based on skills, experience and qualifications.

What You will be doing:

  • Implementation of the Sportsgrounds and Sporting Facilities Strategy and other relevant council strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategic framework for the Recreation Services portfolio that will be used to promote, inform and optimise the activation of council sports assets including the hire, allocation and use of Council's playing and sporting facilities.
  • Ensure Council's sport related activities deliver value outcomes in a pro-active and efficient manner.
  • Lead and Develop relationships with sporting associations, clubs and community groups.
  • Provide and deliver a central point for issues relating to sport both internally and externally.
  • Lead and develop sports communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Source, communicate and support grant opportunities and applications.
