Senior Project Manager

  • Lead the design, coordination and delivery of projects funded from the Council's capital works program
  • Facilitate a diverse range of civil infrastructure construction projects

We have a great opportunity to lead high quality, innovative and practical project management services with an operational budget of $100K and a capital expenditure of up to $2.5 million.

Upcoming projects for delivery include:

  • cycleway and shared path infrastructure,
  • playground improvements
  • bridges and footbridge renewals
  • stormwater upgrades
  • water and sewer Infrastructure
  • car parking facilities,
  • road safety improvement projects, and
  • rural and urban road reconstruction projects.

You will be accountable for developing work packages, frequent project communication and publications, fostering project teams to ensure a strong delivery focus. You will work closely with design specialists for engineering advice.

About you

You will have strong experience in the delivery of capital works projects, ensuring project goals are achieved including financial management and effective consultation and engagement of internal and external resources and stakeholders. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team, be client focused and be part of the Council culture, embedding the values of wellbeing, inclusion, commitment and transparency into everything we do.  This is at the heart of how we work.  You will need a commitment to a values and behaviours-based leadership model and great listening skills.

We're looking for an adept communicator with patience and commitment to managing projects in accordance with Council's project management framework, supporting strategic organisational initiatives.
