Senior Finance Officer / Bookkeeper

We are looking for an individual with a can-do attitude who would like to further develop their career within our Finance Team.

You will be motivated, self-driven and resourceful, with an eye for detail.

The Senior Finance Officer / Bookkeeper is responsible for:

  • Undertaking accurate and timely processing of financial transactions
  • Working with a team to deliver and assist with payroll functions of council
  • Accurate reconciliations of financial data
  • Problem solving
  • Preparing and processing of journals
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Rating functions
  • Providing general administrative support as required

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • Advanced Diploma in Accounting or similar discipline and/or equivalent experience
  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Drivers Licence
  • An enquiring mind
  • Monitoring and maintaining a safe workplace including applying ergonomic work practices
  • Using corporate and specialised software programs including Microsoft Excel

Salary range: Grade 13 - $74,724.93 - $80,861.13 per annum plus 11% superannuation for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
