The Role

Baldivis Secondary College is seeking to appoint a full-time and part-time school psychologist to support the mental health, wellbeing, and academic success of all students. In addition to traditional school psychology duties, this role involves working with staff to implement and align Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, student wellbeing initiatives, promoting a culture of care, resilience, and positive relationships throughout the school community.

Suitable applicants should be team players with highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to think and act strategically and with integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with staff to implement and align Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Facilitate professional learning for staff on topics such as resilience, trauma-informed practices, and stress management. Implement school-wide programs focused on mindfulness, resilience, and social-emotional learning. Partner with Student Services to support case management. Promote inclusive practices for all students, with a focus on diverse and vulnerable

Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills, demonstrating the capacity to produce correspondence, reports and case notes, and interview and training (facilitation) skills. Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills, which demonstrate an ability to function in a self-directed way, and as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with a range of clients across the lifespan, Department personnel and inter-agency partners across a variety of contexts. Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and conceptual skills to issues identification, risk assessment and analysis, intervention and evaluation.
