Risk and Internal Audit Officer

The Package: $92,645.28 - $102,375.52 gross per annum + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 14 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Full-time – 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements can be considered.

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping a proactive risk culture and driving continuous improvement? Council is seeking a risk and audit professional to help make a real impact.

In this role you will:

• Provide advice to internal stakeholders relating to risk and and manage Council’s overall risk framework.
• Maintain Council’s anti-fraud and corruption framework.
• Assist with managing Council’s insurance policies
• Provide coordination and support to Council’s Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent significant experience in managing risk within a local government, corporate or similar environment.
• Has demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the interpretation of legislation and the application of risk management standards.
