About the role

Our K&B Mt. Barker Mitre 10 store is seeking an outgoing individual to join the team as a casual Retail Sales Assistant, rostering between Monday and Sunday.

This position will suit an enthusiastic and motivated individual with strong customer service mindset. We are looking for attitude over experience and will provide on the job training.

You will learn about retail, from how to maintain store displays to pricing and labelling all products correctly.

What you will be doing;

• Welcome and assist customers in store, provide advice and information on products

• Handle customer queries, in person and over the phone, and offer solutions

• Processing sales through our POS system

• Create and dispatch customer special orders and item delivery

• Put up signage, price tickets and promotional material

• Perform all tasks according to the OH&S guidelines and keeping the areas clean and tidy

• Report any suspected theft or suspicious behaviour, or notify Store Manager of any potential hazards

You’ll likely be a match if you have:

• Basic to Intermediate MS Office skills

• Strong work ethic, reliable and punctual

• Passionate, highly motivated and a team player

• Customer-focused and a “can do” attitude

• Previous retail or sales experience is an advantage but not essential
