The Opportunity 

The Regulatory Support Administrator is responsible for delivering high-quality administrative support to ensure the organisation meets all regulatory obligations under the National Quality Framework (NQF), Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and other applicable legislation.

This role plays a critical part in managing registers and documentation, and supporting the broader Legal, Quality & Risk (LQR) team in its objective to ensure early childhood services operate within required standards.

This is a part-time, 6-month opportunity with working hours from 9:00am to 2:00pm. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and notifications, both internally and externally.
  • Assist with the collation and submission of documentation and supporting evidence for regulatory assessments.
  • Coordinate the lodgement, monitoring, and tracking of Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) Waivers and extensions.
  • Facilitate timely completion and payment of Food Safety registrations.
  • Monitor the implementation and closure of actions resulting from council and third-party food audits.
  • Maintain systems and support database submissions to ensure regulatory requirements are accurately documented and met.
  • Maintain accurate and current records, registers, and databases related to compliance, incidents, complaints, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Draft and prepare correspondence, reports, and documentation to support regulatory and quality assurance processes, as required.
  • Assist in the communication of organisational policy and procedure updates across relevant teams and centres.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the LQR team.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of systems that support regulatory compliance, child safety and service quality.

About You 

  • Knowledge of early childhood education regulations (e.g., National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations) is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative or compliance support role, preferably within early childhood education or a regulated service environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, particularly in document handling, reporting, and database management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using digital platforms for data entry and communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
