Working in a fast-paced environment and reporting to the General Manager Community, the Regulatory Services Manager will support a safer Palmerston community by leading the strategic and operational direction of the regulatory services. You will oversee the team’s administration of by-laws and other relevant statutory legislation, providing management of Council’s security contracts. A member of the senior leadership team, you will promote collaboration and the sharing of information between departments in pursuit of the community plan vision and outcomes. Providing the General Manager with strategic advice, informed reports, policies, procedures and business plans supporting Council’s strategic objectives, you will provide specialist advice on by-laws and other regulatory issues within Council and to external stakeholders.

A well respected professional, you will ideally have operational regulatory experience with a focus on improving safety of community. Possessing strong stakeholder engagement skills and project management experience, you will work with community groups and police around measures including community safety. Using your influencing skills, you will foster and maintain collaborative relationships while promoting an effective customer-centric focus and behaviours.
