About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and reliable person to work with our Ranger team at Bathurst Regional Council. The Regulatory Services casual will have a NSW Class C Drivers Licence and experience that will contribute to the efficient implementation of parking enforcement activities. Good customer service skills and an ability to contribute to the operation of Bathurst Animal Rehoming Centre through grounds maintenance are essential requirements of the position. Basic computer skills are important to the role.

The position being offered as a casual role, with shifts as and when required on weekdays.

Key Requirements

  • Higher school certificate and a minimum of three years experience suitable to the role
  • Ability and experience in operation of lawn mowers, whipper snippers and hand tools
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to assist with adoption and rehoming of animals
  • Experience in administrative tasks such as data entry, completion of forms and telephone enquiries
  • Basic to Intermediate user of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and web-based systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage difficult customers both in person and on the telephone
  • Appropriate level of physical fitness to undertake the duties as described
  • A current NSW Class C Drivers Licence

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.

Salary: $34.34 per hour + superannuation

Position Status: Casual

Hours of work: As required
