About Uniting Armidale:

Surrounded by tranquil leafy gardens, Uniting Autumn Lodge is a warm and welcoming aged care home that has been supporting older people in Armidale for more than 60 years, building strong ties with the local community. 

We provide high-quality, round-the-clock care for up to 114 residents in private rooms with shared communal spaces. 

Our compassionate team works closely with residents to understand their individual care needs, tailor support to ensure comfort, and arrange engaging activities that are meaningful and enjoyable

Role Overview:

As a Registered Nurse at Uniting Armidale, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional person-centred care to our residents. Your clinical expertise and compassionate approach will ensure that each resident received the highest standard of care tailored to their individual needs. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be a clinical leader in the service, and you will develop, deliver and evaluate resident care plans to meet the individual needs of our residents
  • You’ll need sharp clinical assessment skills and will take the lead in providing clinical services
  • Get to know each resident and become a fundamental part of their life
  • Play an important role in making sure the care provided meets residents’ individual goals
  • You’ll liaise with medical and allied health professionals and residents’ family members to advocate for clients’ quality of life
  • Supervise and support our Personal Care Workers
  • Practice in a holistic way, using your critical decision-making skills to lead the team. 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree with current registration (AHPRA).
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, resourceful, a great time manager, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Empathy, resilience, and a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older residents.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
  • Previous Registered Nursing experience in aged or community care is highly desirable however we welcome applications from nurses with experience in other healthcare settings who are passionate about transitioning into Aged Care.
