Working from our architecturally designed and recognised Administration Building, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Recreation Planner to join our growing City Services team.

About the role
The Recreation Planner will provide advice and assist with the strategic planning of the Council's recreation, leisure and community facilities to ensure a range of quality services are provided to respond to the growing needs of the community.

As Recreation Planner you will research and contribute to the development and implementation of strategies, policies and management plans relating to Council's recreation and community assets and facilities. You will be responsible for the management of multiple projects and will be required to work closely with community groups, sporting associations, professional groups and other levels of government.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have degree level qualifications in recreation management, planning or a related discipline or extensive relevant contemporary experience. You will also have experience researching and analysing information to contribute to strategic plans, reports and policy.

Additionally, you will have demonstrated project management experience ensuring their effective delivery on time and within budget and have the ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Ideally you will possess a passion for the local community who has contemporary knowledge of the recreation, leisure and open space industry and are motivated to make a lasting impact on your community.

Benefits
This is a permanent full-time role, 35 hours per week, with a salary ranging $85,516 up to $94,923 per year based on demonstrated experience + 11% p.a. super. Council also offers a range of benefits for its employees including:
