About the role

Are you an enthusiastic and dynamic property professional who leads from the front?

Wollongong City Council is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic leader to join our Property Services Team in the role of Property Management Coordinator.

Managing and leading a team of property professionals, you will apply your commercial acumen, extensive property portfolio management knowledge and negotiation skills, whilst developing or expanding your skills and experience in local government property management.

This opportunity will see you contribute to our vision, leading the management of Councils Property Portfolio and delivery of Councils Property Strategy. You will ensure that property transactions are undertaken in compliance with legislative requirements - meeting Councils strategic objectives in accordance with our Community Strategic Plan; Delivery Program; Operational and long-term Financial Plan; Policies; Resolutions, and Budget.

Leading the team to deliver a range of property management services, from community land through to commercial property management, you will drive a focus on providing excellent customer service and stakeholder management.

This role is a Permanent Full-Time position, salary range starting from $98,533.28 per annum plus superannuation (Salary package can be negotiated based on skills, experience and qualifications)

What you will be doing

Ensuring exceptional service delivery aligned to the strategic business plans and organisational objectives, you will manage and maximise Councils Commercial, Community, Crown Land and Parking Property portfolio.

Liaising with multiple stakeholders, you will lead leasing negotiations, and manage the day-to-day property management. This includes rent reviews, forecasting and budgeting control, preparing leasing proposals, instructing valuations and legal, as well as the finalisation of contracts ensuring the best financial returns for Councils leased assets.

About you

As a dynamic property professional, you foster a strong focus on customer service and stakeholder management. Managing a team of professional property staff, you have a proven track record of managing high performing property portfolios. You will bring your skills in leasing negotiations with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement new processes and procedures. With your strategic mindset, you will manage evolving priorities meeting deadlines, whilst balancing the economic and social needs of Council and the Community.
