Projects Engineer

Full-time - Ongoing

Position Number: 6801         Location: Queanbeyan

The Package: $101,049.52 - $111,653.88 gross per annum + 11% super + 3.5% CLA. (Evaluated as Grade 16 of the QPRC Salary System 2023) and guaranteed increases of 3.5% in 2024-25 and 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Fulltime– 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may apply.

Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking to apply your skills in a rapidly growing regional community? Council is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our Contracts and Projects branch.

In this role you will:

• Develop and deliver capital civil infrastructure projects in the QPRC region.
• Supervise on-site contractors on construction projects.
• Prepare and manage contracts for project delivery.
• Be involved in strategic project development for the future of the region.

We are looking for someone who:

• Possesses a recognised Bachelors degree in civil engineering (or equivalent) and experience in project management of civil engineering works.
• Has experience in procurement processes related to project management.
• Has experience supervising contractors through the investigation, design and construction phases.
• Can communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
• Possesses experience applying construction safety standards.
