We are looking for someone to join that team that could progress from the Project Engineering position to a Project Management position over time with the correct skill set and training in place.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure on-time delivery.

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review engineering designs and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and propose effective solutions.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project objectives.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality and timely completion of work.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement corrective actions as needed to minimize risk and ensure project success.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all work complies with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives as necessary to enhance project outcomes.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Prepare regular progress reports for internal stakeholders and project sponsors.
  • Communicate effectively with project team members and stakeholders to keep them informed of project status and milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Positive, Can-do attitude

Package: 

The package is negotiable based on candidates experience. However, expected package would be similar to what is set out below,

  • Annual Salary: $110,000 - $130,000
  • LAFHA: $100/day when away from home
  • Vehicle Provided
  • Laptop Provided
  • Travel and Accommodation Provided
