The Opportunity

Council is seeking an experienced trade-qualified Plumber to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the community by ensuring the reliable and efficient delivery of water supply and sewerage services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of water supply and sewerage reticulation infrastructure
  • Construction of new water mains and sewer mains as required
  • Installation of water service connections, meters, and sewer service junctions
  • Emergency maintenance such as broken mains and sewerage blockages
  • Installation and maintenance of plumbing fixtures and fittings in Council buildings and public facilities

Required skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will need a Trade Certificate as a Plumber; current driver’s licence and experience in the construction industry, particularly in water supply and sewerage infrastructure installation and maintenance. The ability to participate in an on-call roster to respond to after-hours emergencies is also a requirement of the position.
