About the Position:

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Plant and Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. You will contribute to the delivery of quality mechanical support services to customers and their assets, including plant, equipment, transport and buildings in a commercially competitive environment.

What you will be doing:

In this position you will use your experience and skills to self-manage tasks and projects in both the field and workshop. Some of the daily tasks include:

  • Repair, maintain, install mechanical facility assets including fleets of plant, trucks and vehicles to qualifications, associated skill and statutory limitations.
  • Complex problem solving including the design & manufacture of complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Promote and maintain a safe and efficient workplace employing contemporary industry work methods and technology

This position is physically demanding, and you must be capable of undertaking the duties associated with the role as described in the job description. You will also need to be available to work flexible hours including shift work and on-call for emergency and programmed maintenance.

Essential Requirements:

1.Have you completed an apprenticeship as a Motor Mechanic or Plant and Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with a Motor Vehicle Tradesperson Certificate?

2.Do you hold a current NSW Class 'MR' licence? If No are you willing to obtain prior to commencement

3.Do you hold a WHS General Construction Induction? If No are you willing to obtain prior to commencement.

4.Tell us about your experience: include in your answer the types of vehicle, plant and equipment you have worked on and your experience and knowledge repairing the equipment you have listed
