Expressions of Interest are invited for the position of Plant Repairer, based at Council's Inverell Workshop. The successful applicant shall be responsible for the maintenance repair and efficient performance of Council’s plant fleet and tools.

Essential Criteria:
Qualifications
- Trade Certificate as Motor Mechanic, Plant Fitter or equivalent.
- NSW Class HR Drivers Licence, progressing to Class HC Drivers Licence.
- SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction Training Certificate (‘White Card’).
Skills and Experience
Experience with the following:
- Petrol and diesel motors.
- Vehicle electrical systems.
- General fleet maintenance/repair.
- Manual, powershift and hydrostatic transmissions.
- Hydraulic systems.
- Plant/vehicle air conditioning systems.
- Light/medium fabrication.
Desirable Criteria:
- Licenced Air Conditioning Repairer (Vehicle/Plant)
- National Licence to perform High Risk Work for Non-Slewing Mobile Crane (CN), Dogging (DG) and Forklift (LF)
- Authorised RMS Inspector for light and heavy vehicles.
Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023. The classification for the position will be up to Administrative/Technical/Trades Band 2, Level 2, Grade 10. Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,310.30 to $1,411.12 gross per week. In addition, an Adverse Working Conditions allowance of $0.498 shall be payable where applicable.
